Real Madrid’s new coach, Julen Lopetegui has finally commented on report linking his forward, Gareth Bale with a summer move from the club to join Manchester United. Bale has been linked in recent weeks, with a move away from the Santiago Bernabeu to join the Premier League giants. The Welsh international joined the Los Blancos for £87million in 2013 and has since won the Champions League four times, scoring twice in the 3-1 final victory over Liverpool in May this year. The 29-year-old was not regularly featured in the first-team under former Real Madrid coach, Zinedine Zidane last season. Bayern Munich striker, Robert Lewandowski has decided to join Real Madrid this summer. The player turned down a move to Manchester United. The Polish stiker wants to push for a move away from the Allianz Arena, with a host of top European clubs ready to snap him up. Both Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United have shown interest in the player. However, Lewandowski’s preferred destination is Real Madrid. Lewandowski dreamt of a move to the Santiago Bernabeu and at 29; he feels time is running out to secure a dream transfer to the La Liga giants Polish newspaper, Prezeglad Sportowy reports that Lewandowski has made it clear he won’t move to United because he does not view Manchester as an attractive place to live. Lewandowski is contracted to Bayern until 2021 but his manager Niko Kovac confessed he is toying with the idea of leaving.

Chelsea star, Willian Borges da Silva, has broken the silence over reports linking him with a move to Real Madrid and Manchester United. The Brazilian was a subject of speculations in the summer transfer window because of his impressive World Cup performance in Russia. A host of top clubs have been linked with a move for the 29-year-old attacking midfielder/winger. Willian, who has kept his head down throughout the speculations, has finally opened up on his future. Speaking to Brazilian TV show, Esporte Espetacular, he said, “I’m back to England. I’m very happy at Chelsea. I’m very happy living in London.”

Manchester United board has handed manager, Jose Mourinho funds to sign more players. United chiefs bowed to pressure from Mourinho following series of public outcry by the Portuguese gaffer. The former Chelsea boss voiced his concerns over the club’s activities in the transfer market. United have been able to bring in Fred, Diogo Dalot and reserve goalkeeper, Lee Grant this summer. The Guardian, Uk, reports that club officials understand the manager’s frustrations over a disappointing pre-season, with 17 first-team players unavailable. According to the newspaper, they have informed Mourinho that there are still funds at his disposal to spend before the window slams shut, according to the Guardian. Mourinho had earlier told reporters that he needs a centre-back and an attacking midfield with Leicester City’s Harry Maguire and Ivan Perisic at the top of his wishlist.

Transfer: Goalkeeper leaves Arsenal

Arsenal have sent goalkeeper, Matt Macey, out on loan to League One club, Plymouth Argyle for the 2018/2019 season. The 23-year-old was the third-choice goalkeeper under Arsene Wenger last season. He made his first two appearances for the club, playing against Red Star Belgrade in the Europa League and Norwich in the Carabao Cup. However, Macey never looked close to challenging Petr Cech or David Ospina for regular playing time and has fallen down in the pecking order, following the signing of Bernd Leno and the return of Emiliano Martinez from a loan spell. It’s Macey’s third loan move since joining the Arsenal academy in 2013, having had previous stints at Accrington Stanley and Luton Town.
