Abubakar tendered his resignation in a letter dated August 5th 2018 and addressed to the state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje on Sunday, Daily Independent reports. Sex Workers Threaten To Starve Policemen Of Sex Over Incessant Arrests

Sex workers in Anambra State have threatened to starve policemen who patronise them over alleged harassment and arrest of their colleagues in major cities of the state. Olusola, the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the poll, filed a petition against the results of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at the Election Petition Tribunal in Ado Ekiti, the state capital. N49bn spent on school feeding programme in 2 years – FG

Mariam Uwais, special adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on social protection, says the federal government has spent N49 billion on the national home-grown school feeding programme. The programme is meant for feeding primary school pupils across the country. The programme, a component of the government’s social investment, has been ongoing in the last two years. Uwais said 8, 596,340 pupils were currently being fed in 46,247 public primary schools in 24 states. She listed the as Abia, Adamawa, Akwa-Ibom, Anambra, Bauchi, Benue, Borno, Cross River, Delta, Ebonyi, Enugu, Gombe, Imo, Jigawa, Kaduna, Kano, Niger, Ogun, Osun, Oyo, Plateau, Sokoto, Taraba, and Zamfara. Embattled Imo Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere, yesterday raised the alarm that his life is in danger. He said the Commissioner of Police in the state, Dasuki Galandanchi, has withdrawn his security details, thereby, making him susceptible to attacks. Recall that the Imo House of Assembly had last week reportedly  impeached Madumere , an action voided by the Court. Madumere is Governor Rochas Okorocha’s deputy. The Nation reports that a 25-year old woman has been allegedly shot dead by her boy friend, Chika Modili in Oranto village, Ukpo in Dunukofia local government area of Anambra state. The deceased, Uchenna Onyeama, a native of Orofia village, Abagana, was reportedly shot dead with a pistol inside the room of a friend to the suspect, identified as Nonso Nwabueze. The Nation gathered that the suspect and his accomplice quickly locked the room and fled at about 6.30pm before the arrival of the police.
