Asari Dokubo linked to Nnamdi Kanu’s rearrest by Federal Government

A former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokiri has suggested a Nigerian who may have been responsible for the rearrest of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB. Omokri suggested that Asari Dokubo, an ex-Niger Delta Militant may be the link to Kanu’s rearrest by the Nigerian government. In a tweet, Omokri wrote: “Exactly 2 weeks ago, Nnamdi Kanu quarrelled with Asari Dokubo and Asari promised to deal with him. He even swore on the Quran. “Asari’s exact words on June 14 were “I will surely bring you down.” “And now this. Is it a coincidence? “Don’t make unnecessary enemies.” Dokubo has been against the IPOB leader following a fallout between them. The fallout between the former Niger Delta warlord and Kanu was due to ideological differences on the agitation for Biafra. Davido's Close Friend and Associate Obama DMW Is Dead!

Obama DMW , a close friend and associate of Nigerian superstar singer  Davido  was reported dead today shortly after complaining of chest pain. Vital Concept heard out about his death on Tuesday, the 29th of June 2021. According to Pulse Nigeria, Obama died from suspected heart failure, although it has not been confirmed yet. The leading entertainment and artist manager, Obama DMW posted videos of himself with Davido and the crew in the singer's studio barely 24 hours before being reported dead. He was the founder and CEO of his own label,  Obama Music Worldwide  where  he signed the singer,  Ayanfe . A member of the DMW crew has confirmed his death now to NotjustOK. May his soul rest in perfect peace.

Court orders remand of Kanu in DSS Custody

  Justice Binta Nyako of the Abuja Division of the Federal High Court on Tuesday ordered the remand of fugitive leader of the indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu in the custody of the department of State services (DSS). The remand order was sequel to an application by federal government lawyer, Shuaibu Labaran. Kanu was said to have been intercepted by joint security operatives of the government. Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, who made the disclosure in a joint press briefing with the DSS and Police, said Kanu was arrested on Sunday June 27, 2021. However, the briefing was silent on where he was arrested. Ruling on the request for remand in the custody of the DSS, Justice Nyako, held that the Prosecution should inform Kanu’s lawyer of his rearrest and remand in the custody of the DSS. Goodluck Jonathan appointed as Chancellor Of Cavendish University

  Former Nigerian President, His Excellency, Dr. Goodluck Ebele Azikiwe Jonathan has been appointed as Chancellor of Cavendish University Uganda (CUU), in Uganda. The University made the announcement on social media, through its Twitter handle.  “Welcome aboard @GEJonathan as you take over as the Chancellor of CUU. We look forward to this new era and achieving great things under your  leadership. F ormer Super Eagles Captain, John Mikel Obi, has been appointed as Youth Ambassador by the Federal Government. This was disclosed on Friday, at an event held at the National Stadium, Lagos, which was attended by the Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare. According to the Special Adviser to Dare on Media, John Joshua-Akanji, Mikel Obi was described by the Minister as a “role model whose lasting legacies in football development has continued to have a positive impact on youths in the country.” Mikel Obi was assured of Federal Government support whenever he chooses to invest in the country. “Time will not permit me to say much about Mikel’s success as a footballer. TWITTER BAN: ECOWAS COURT TO HEAR SUIT AGAINST FG JUNE 22

The Community Court of Justice of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) has fixed June 22 to hear a motion in a suit filed by the Registered Trustees of the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) and 420 Nigerians against the Federal Government of Nigeria, to challenge government's suspension of the operations of the microblogging platform, Twitter, in Nigeria. ECOWAS COURT TO HEAR SUIT AGAINST FG The 420 Nigerians include; the former Minister of Education Oby Ezekwesili and the co-founder of the #BringBackOurGirls movement, Aisha Yesufu among others. The court, in a notice to the plaintiffs' lawyer Femi Falana (SAN) and respondent's counsel, Mrs Maimuna Lami Shiru, stated that the hearing will be virtual and the court may not send another notice.

  Temitope Balogun Joshua, a frontline Nigerian preacher and televangelist, has died, family sources told Vita Concept  Mr Joshua, the founder of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), died in Lagos on Saturday evening shortly after concluding a programme at his church, The Gazette learnt from family sources who did not want to be quoted as an official statement was still being prepared. He was 57. The cause of death was not immediately disclosed to The Gazette, but family sources said his remains had been deposited at the morgue and an autopsy would be performed forthwith. Mr Joshua reigned for over three decades as a fiery preacher on television, using his platform to attract a large number of Christians from across the world.
